Good day to each of you. My name is Aloah Johnson and I am proud to tell you in that in three short weeks I will be a graduate of Kaplan University with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Organizational Communications. My educational journey presented me with new challenges, a variety of new learning tools, technical as well as digital advancements, and the opportunity to make new friends from all parts of the world. Some of my excellent professors are included in my list of new and lasting relationships.
Words like social media, social-networking, Twitter, blogs, and micro-blogging were alien to me before studying Communications at Kaplan (I didn't even know what "lol" meant when I saw it in an email). These words are no longer foreign to me and some of them will help keep me connected with friendships that I do not want to lose after graduating. As long as I use 140 characters or less I can Tweet a friend with updates about my life or get the 411 on them. If I have more to say then a Tweet will allow I will use my blog Aloah & All That Jazz as my social networking tool. My online Kaplan education has been very fulfilling and I am no longer apprehensive of using latest digital technology in the field of Communications and I want all of you listening to join me and get digital. I just want to say congrats on graduating from Kaplan! I have less than a year so I am so excited, I can only imagine how excited you are! Your blog has been informative and creative and just plain fun to read. I wish you luck in everything you do. It was a pleasure getting to know you and have you in my class!
